Pub Quiz (without the pub)

pub-quizCreate a quiz with several rounds and organise the class into teams. Each team will need their own buzzer noise. Write questions which will help revise topics previously studied. Display questions as a slideshow and include a picture round, true or false round, multi-choice round, spot the deliberate mistake round and a quick fire buzzer round. Warn your class a week in advance about the quiz so that they can revise. Make it into a competition with a prize for the highest scoring team. A fun way to revise.

Quiz master

Nominate a reliable student to act as the quiz master at the beginning of the next lesson. They must devise 10 questions based upon the topic studied in the previous week. They must also develop a mark scheme. The class can be divided up into regular quiz teams in which they stay throughout the term. At the start of the lesson the quiz master asks their questions and the teams compete to see who can score the highest. Devise a league table for the weekly results and see which team are the winners at the end of the term. Different class members take it in turns to act as the quiz master. To avoid foul play, the team that the quiz master belongs to should not answer the questions that week.
