Pass the hot potato

Prepare a list of quick fire questions to test students on the content of their previous lesson. Start the hot potato and students pass it around the class - they can vary the direction it is sent in. The potato plays music and stops randomly, whoever is holding it when the music stops must answer the question. This keeps students on their toes!

Weakest Link

linksPrepare a bank of 20 quick fire questions based upon the content of the previous lesson. Provide each student with a mini whiteboard/marker pen/eraser. Students all stand up and write their answers to the questions on their board secretly and then all hold them up at the same time when you say so. Those with an incorrect answer must sit down and are out of the running. The winner is the last person standing. The competition element should stop them cheating! You might want to have some harder questions for the last few standing.
