Blindfolded building

lego-structureGet your hands on lots of lego bricks or mega blocks. Create some structures using a variety of colours and shapes and then take a photo of them. Split up your students into pairs and provide them with a blindfold. One of the students must wear the blindfold. Provide the other student with a picture of a lego structure. The blindfolded student is the only one who is allowed to touch the lego bricks. Their partner must direct them to first of all select the correct bricks from a pile in the middle of the room to make the structure they have selected,  and then give them instructions so that they construct the correct structure. Allow a time limit of around 10-15 minutes. This activity encourages cooperation within each pair of students.
